Pope Francis said he supports the civil union law of same-sex couples in a new documentary that debuted in Rome on Wednesday, October 21.
The documentary, titled Francesco, which will premiere in the US on Sunday, reflects on Pope Francis’ life and ministry and role on social issues including LGBTQ rights, according to the Catholic News Agency.
“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it,” Pope Francis said in the documentary.
