Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has shared her experience regarding the lack of support from Abia state during her battle with a kidney-related ailment.
The 61-year-old has decided against offering the state a complimentary service due to the insufficient support from the Abia state government.
She expressed her disappointment and frustration regarding the situation during an interview with Nollywood on Radio.
“I have personally determined that there is no request from my Abia State that I would fulfill without compensation,” Ngozi Nwosu stated.
“They would pay a significant amount for me to leave.” I hail from Arochukwu, a local government area within the state.
Nwosu stated that a fan connected her with the Lagos State government and that her fame served as a significant advantage.
“The recognition I gained from the roles I portrayed in a series provided me with support during challenging times.”
“The individual who contacted the Lagos state government to assist me did so because she
cherishes me as her preferred actor.
Nwosu commenced her acting career in Yoruba-language films, subsequently making her home-video debut in ‘Living in Bondage,’ an Igbo-language film recognized as the catalyst for the video film era in Nigerian cinema.
