Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, announced today, June 7, the immediate suspension of tinted vehicle windscreens in Nigeria.
He made the announcement during a meeting with senior police personnel from throughout the country, including DIGs and Commissioners.
While making the announcement, he stressed that roadblocks are still illegal in the country, warning that chiefs of commands must implement the prohibition and focus on the road patrol approach as an alternative to roadblocks.
