Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has said that, contrary to popular opinion, it is not the job of the federal government to address unemployment.
Fayemi who is also the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum said this while speaking during a Question and Answer session at a ta political gathering in Abuja today May 4.
“It is not the job of the government to address unemployment, it is our job to create the enabling environment to allow employees to happen. We will create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and then these businesses will create jobs in the process,” he said.
