Gaius Chibueze, an Igbo businessman and philanthropist known as Bitcoin chief, has stated that he and his company have agreed to support Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme’s education up to the Masters degree level.
Miss Mmesoma, who claimed to have received the best score in the 2023 UTME with a score of 362, received accolades and adulation from Nigerians, including a 3 million scholarship from Innoson Vehicle Motors founpder Chief Innocent Chukwuma.
However, things went awry, and her delight was short-lived, as JAMB later issued a disclaimer, accusing the Nnewi indigene of forgery and threatening her with the loss of her initial score of 249 and a three-year ban from writing the UTME.
Many Nigerians took to social media to express their support for Mmesoma, accusing JAMB of engaging in a politically motivated witch-hunt against the Igbo ethnic group, a claim that cannot be substantiated because the current holder of the title is also Igbo and from the same state as Mmesoma.
