Ahmed Idris, the Accountant-General of the Federation, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Idris was freed on Wednesday night on bail from the custody of the anti-graft agency in Abuja and has since been reunited with his family.
Recall that on May 16 Mr. Idris was arrested by the operatives of EFCC in connection with the diversion of funds and money laundering activities to the tune of N84 billion.
Some days after he has arrested the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, suspend Idris to enable him to face his investigation.
