On Tuesday, Kano State Assembly impeached Speaker Abdulmumeen Kamba and his Deputy Alhaji Muhammad Buhari-Aleiro.
This was announced by Alhaji Muhammad Tukur, Chairman House Committee on Information and Culture after a closed-door plenary session.
According to him, the Speaker was replaced with Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Muhammad Abubakar- Lolo while the Deputy Speaker was replaced by Hon. Muhammad Usman.
He, however, did not disclose the reason behind the impeachment.
All efforts to get the reaction of the impeached speaker and the deputy speak proved abortive as they refused to speak to newsmen.
