On Thursday, unknown gunmen were reported to have stormed Katsina State and Kidnapped Alhaji Safiu Dantankari, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Dantankari ‘A’ ward in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to residents, the gunmen also abducted a woman and her stepson along with the ward chairman.
As at press time, Gambo Isah, the spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command did not respond to calls and text messages.
