On Tuesday, October 11 the National Awards Ceremony which was held in Abuja some notable Nigerians who have carved a niche in different sectors, got some awards.
Those awarded national honors are Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Ooni of Ife HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Olu of Warri HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III, State Chief of Protocol Amb. Lawal Kazaure, EbonyLife CEO Mo Abudu, Special Adviser Media & Publicity Mr. Femi Adesina, SA Presidential Matters Sabiu Tunde, and Imam Abdullahi Abubakar (Imam who saved 300 Christians in Plateau State).
While Lawan got the Honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), the Olu of Warri and Ooni of Ife got the Honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
Kazaure got the Honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), and Imam Abubakar and Adesina got the Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
