Members Of The Star Boys Gang Arrested By The Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS)

A very notorious gang group responsible for terrorizing and tormenting the residents of Ijesha area of Lagos State have been arrested by the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) after an attack on a resident during a cult clash.

The Gang consists of five members which include; Opeyemi Ayoola, 19-year-old, Segun Oladokun, Oluwasegun Ajagun, Friday Aduadu, and Jimoh Qudus.

According to reports, the suspects have admitted to taking advantage of rival group’s violent clashes to rob unsuspecting residents in the area by using weapons such as knives, machetes, planks, and axes.

Also reports have it that two out of five of the suspects named Friday and Jimoh are security men of a hotel in the Ijesha area of lagos State and that one of their guns were reportedly kept in the same premise where they worked as security men.

However, one of the suspects named Opeyemi who is a commercial motorcyclist said:

”“It is true that I am a member of Star Boys cult and we use to fight with Itire Boys. They destroyed the windscreen of one of our tricycles and that led to the first clash between us. I have seen people robbing residents, but there was never a time I joined them to rob anybody. I only follow them to fight, because I derived joy in fighting.

“In fact, there was a time I helped someone in my area, who was about to be attacked by some of our boys. They attacked one Alfa and I told them that he was one of our elder brothers in the neighborhood. I helped him to retrieve his stolen phone and other valuables.”

Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police who confirmed the arrest said that the police are on investigation to fish out more members and their accomplices’.
