Naira Marley, a popular Nigerian musician, who has been in the news for days concerning his trip with Executive Jets to a show in Jabi Lake, Abuja
This was announced by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Bello yesterday, 16th of June. The Minister, in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary Anthony Ogunleye, said that the administration of the FCT frowns on the reckless, insensitive, disrespectful, and wicked acts of the organisers and attendees of the Jabi Lake concert. He said that those involved in the concert have no regard for the law and wellbeing of other citizens.
The Minister pleaded with residents of the FCT to always observe health guidelines that have been put in place by authorities stating that these guidelines are meant to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the FCT.
The concert has, since it held, sparked a lot of controversies, and also led to the closing down of the Jabi Lake mall by the FCT administration on the judgement of a mobile court. The License of Executive Jet services that were responsible for conveying Naira Marley and others was also suspended.
The concert has caused controversies online, with Jabi Lake Mall being shut down by the FCT administration following a mobile court’s judgment, and Executive Jet Services seeing their license being suspended.
