A man identified as Sani Garba, 32 has been arrested for alledgedly sneaking into a 60-year-old woman’s apartment while she was asleep and raping her in Kuspa area of Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.
The victim was caught after the elderly woman reported the crime to the police. According to Abiodun Wasiu, police spokesman the victim would soon be charged to court.
However, Mrs Sikiratu Ajibola, lawmaker representing Ipokia-Idiroko constituency in the Ogun House of Assembly said :
“Enough is enough,”
“We can no longer fold our arms as women; rapists must be taught a lesson in a very hard way.
“This devilish acts, most times, result into psychological trauma to the victims. Some of them even attempt suicide.”
