Citizens of Niger Republic have staged a protest against Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The protest in Niger Republic against Tinubu who is chairman of the regional bloc, the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) is coming after a coup in the country that removed the democratically elected President, Mohamed Bazoum.
The news came out that Nigeria has halted its power supply to Niger Republic following a directive from the Nigerian presidency. This was reported by BBC.
ECOWAS has already said that a military response will be the last option it will seek to restore the democratically elected government removed by the military junta.
