Okoye’s Absence Is A Setback For The Super Eagles

Due to illness, Maduka Okoye, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, will miss Nigeria’s FIFA 2022 World Cup playoff against Ghana’s Black Stars on Friday.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Super Eagles made the announcement via their Instagram account.

Enyimba’s John Noble has taken Okoye’s place.

According to the reports, Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the World Cup qualifying match on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
