Oshiomhole: Obaseki Is Politically Dead

According to former governor and senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents the Edo North Senatorial District, outgoing governor Godwin Obaseki is politically dead.

In an interview with Politics Today on Channels TV, Oshiomhole made this claim in response to the results of the state’s recently held gubernatorial election.

Recall that the APC’s Monday Okpebholo was proclaimed the election’s victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, on Sunday.

On the other hand, Oshiomole claimed in the interview that the election results reflected the wishes of the Edo people.

Speaking about remarks made after the APC candidate was declared the election’s victor, Oshiomhole stated that the people of Edo would never give their blood to anyone.

“We are followers of President Jonathan’s school of thought, which holds that no Nigerian’s blood is worth the election of even a president. In addition, the national chairman of the PDP is acting in response to the current state of affairs and speaking of an electoral carnage.

“You got Obaseki; I saw him on Channels, and he insisted that it was either do or die. He responded to your question by saying that they would have died if they had. People have now completed the task. Politically, I suppose, he is dead.

He declared, “The people have decided that Monday, who was elected as a senator last year, has been declared the governor-elect.”
