Phil Butler has died at the age of 51, his management has confirmed.
The comedian and magician’s management confirmed the news in a statement on social media.
Chris Davis Management said: “It is with huge sadness we have to announce the passing of our friend and client Phil Butler.
“Our thoughts are with his friends and family. The world is a poorer place without him.”
Phil’s cause of death has not yet been shared.
The star had a long and varied career on the comedy circuit, and was the first comedian to perform for troops on the front line in Afghanistan.
He received the Operational Service Medal for his time out there.
As well as performing his own skits, Phil was a popular lead in pantomime during his career.
