On Wednesday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over a virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to reports, a minute of silence was observed in honor of Malami Buwai, a former Minister of Agriculture, who passed away recently at the age of 76.
Ministers physically present at the virtual FEC meeting included the Minister of Information and Culture, Laid Mohammed; and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), and the Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami.
Others were the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajia Zainab Ahmed; Minister of Power, Sale Mamman; and the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, were also in attendance.
President Muhammadu Buhari was absent because he is in London, UK, for a medical checkup after participating in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021 to 2025.
