Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has disclosed the challenges she encountered from her family concerning her marriage to politician Ned Nwoko.
The actress disclosed this information during a live session on her social media platform, where she addressed the rumors regarding her lack of agency in marrying Nwoko, who is considerably older.
Regina Daniels disclosed that her mother and family were initially opposed to the union.
She also revealed that, when she met Nwoko, she had other suitors but ultimately chose her husband.
The actress expressed her frustration, stating, “I was planning to visit my boyfriend and felt quite upset. I asked my mother, ‘Why is it necessary for all of us to go sightseeing?’.” Upon our arrival, we encountered an attractive gentleman. The key takeaway is that your boyfriend should not hinder your pursuit of finding your future partner.
“Upon seeing him with my husband, I momentarily lost sight of my commitment to my boyfriend.” At that time, I had approximately 20 partners. Each serves a distinct function. When individuals assume that I lacked a choice or that my mother compelled me, they are unaware that my mother was actually opposed to it. Despite my entire family’s objections, I am determined to share our story one day.
