The frequently disputed question of whether he or fellow player Lionel Messi is the best player to have ever played the game is something Cristiano Ronaldo wants to resolve.
Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed why he is the best football player of all time in an interview with Spanish television.
“I am the greatest football player in history.” In an interview with media outlet LaSexta TV on Monday, Ronaldo stated, “I haven’t seen anyone better than me in football history, and I’m saying truth from my heart.”
Throughout his career, the 39-year-old Portuguese forward has been frequently compared to fellow superstar Lionel Messi, with Ronaldo acknowledging in an interview that many supporters favor the Argentine forward.
Ronaldo, however, insisted that statistics support his assertion that he is the best.
Ronaldo stated, “I’m talking about numbers.” I consider myself to be the most complete player that has ever existed. Personally, I believe it’s me. In football, I excel at everything: left foot, free kicks, and head. I’m quick. I have strength.
Taste is one thing. I accept and understand if you like Messi, Pele, or Maradona, but claiming Ronaldo is incomplete. I’m the most complete. I haven’t seen anybody better than me, and I say it from the heart.”
Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, is captained by Ronaldo, a former player for Real Madrid and Manchester United.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also voiced his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the all-time great goal scorer during the conversation. With 923 goals, Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer. His most recent two goals came in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 AFC Champions League victory over Al Wasl on Monday.
