Sen Elisha Abbo Ordered By Court To Pay N50m To The Woman He Assaulted In Abuja

Recall a Senator in Abuja, Sen Elisha Abbo was called out in 2019 for assaulting a woman in a sex toy shop. The viral video circulated online showing Elisha Ishaku Abbo attacking Osimibibra Warmate during a misunderstanding in a sex toy shop.

The dismissal of charges against Elisha in 2020 produced even more outrage than the video itself.

Weeks after the magistrate court found the senator not guilty of criminal assault, the FCT High Court found Senator Elisha Abbo liable for his assault on Osimibibra Warmate. The court has ordered him to pay 50 million Naira.
