Controversial Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Gumi loses his stepmother, Hajiya Aminatu Bintu.
According to reports, she died after a brief illness on Saturday at 44th Military General Hospital, Kaduna.
Hajiya Bintu was the widow of the late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi — an outspoken Islamic scholar and Grand Khadi of the Northern Region of Nigeria (1962–1967), and mother of Brigadier General Abdulkadir Gumi.
