Nigerian soldiers have rescued two of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014.
The two girls, identified as Hannatu Musa and Kauna Luka, were rescued with their children by troops on Monday, July 25 at 21 Armoured Brigade during clearance operations in Bama Local Government Area of Borno state.
According to an intelligence report obtained from top military sources by Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad, the girls escaped from Gazuwa camp, an acclaimed headquarters of the Jam? ’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah we’ll-Jih?d, Boko Haram faction, formerly known as Gabchari, Mantari, and Mallum Masari, is located about nine kilometers from Bama town.
The Chibok girls and their children are currently at a military medical facility.
According to the reports, over 200 students were kidnapped by insurgents from the Government Girls’ Secondary School (GGSS) in the Chibok area of Borno state, on April 14, 2014.
Many of the girls have been rescued, but dozens are still in captivity.
