Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday departed Nigeria for Cote d’Ivoire, where the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be held.
The team wore matching national colors, with officials and players donning white kaftans and green caps.
Nigeria will play in Group A, where they will square up against Equatorial Guinea, host Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea-Bissau.
The Super Eagles on Tuesday had a dinner with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The Super Eagles’ first game is against Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, on Sunday.
