Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is Iran’s Supreme Leader, recently had his Hebrew-language account on the social media site X shut down after only two posts. Tensions between Iran and Israel were rising when the report was made.
Khamenei’s first post in Hebrew said, “In the name of Allah the Merciful.” In Islamic culture, this saying is often used to ask God to be kind and bless us. In his second post, he was more serious and warned Israel not to underestimate Iran’s strength. In the post, it was written, “The Zionist regime erred in its calculations about Iran.” We will make it clear what strength, skill, courage, and desire the Iranian people have.”
Khamenei often posts in Hebrew on his main X account, and he often uses strong words against Israel. In most of his tweets, he criticizes Israel’s actions and stresses that Iran is ready to fight back against Israeli aggression.
Israel’s most recent airstrikes on Iranian military targets killed two Iranian troops and damaged military bases in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces. This led to the suspension of Khamenei’s Hebrew account. The hits were confirmed by Iran’s air force, which said the damage was “limited.”
Khamenei said that Israel is wrong about Iran’s strength and resolve. He said, “They’re wrong about Iran…” They still don’t fully understand how strong, smart, determined, and able the Iranian people are. They need to understand these things.
The fact that Khamenei’s account was shut down shows how bad things are getting between Iran and Israel. The international community is keeping a close eye on the situation because they are worried about what might happen to the security of the region. Israel’s government hasn’t said anything about the suspension, but Iranian officials have said they will react to the airstrikes. Leaders from around the world are calling for calm and diplomacy to end the dispute peacefully.
