Betty Irabor is a mother, an author, publisher, enterpreneur, speaker, host and the Founder and Editor- In- Chief of Genevieve Magazine.
She is an indigene of Edo State and was born on the 25th of March, 1957. Being a female publisher with a success story she has proven to young women that it is never too late to start and achieve your dreams as she started her magazine at 45.
Being so dedicated and steadfast in Journalism and writing, after graduation, she worked with National Concord as a Journalist and feature writer for 5 years before partnering with her husband as Managing Director of Ruyi Communications Ltd.
While working oon the family business and working per time with Vanguard and Guardian she saw the opportunity and decided to bridge the gap in the publishing industry by launching Genevieve Magazine in 2003.
Betty established this Magazine as a lifestyle guide and to establish women. Truly, the Magazine has grown to become one of the leading Nigerian lifestyle magazine.
Asides being a journalist/ writer, she is also a motivational speaker who has rendered inspiring speeches at various events including SLAY festival, Microsoft and KONGA International Woman of the Year of the year Project.
In 2005, she founded the Genevieve Pinkball Foundation (GPF), which is a non-profit initiative of Genevieve Magazine that has create awareness for breast cancer, its its education, prevention and treatment.
This foundation holds events annually to raise money for free surgery, chemotherapy etc for patients.
