On Wednesday, Popular US gymnast, Simone Biles, withdrew from the Tokyo 2020 gymnastic all-round event just a day after she shockingly decided not to participate in the team event.
The athlete was expected to defend her previously wielded all-round title today, the finals of the vault and uneven bars on Sunday, 1 August, floor on Monday, 2 August, and beam on Tuesday, 3 August.
According to USA Gymnastics: “Simone will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether or not to participate in next week’s individual event finals”.
