Trump Makes Susie Wiles Chief Of Staff

Susie Wiles, who worked with Trump on the campaign, has been chosen by Trump as the first woman to lead the White House staff. Wiles is a seasoned political planner and one of Trump’s closest political friends. She is one of the few high-level officials who made it through the whole Trump campaign and has mostly stayed out of the press.

Veteran Florida political strategist Susie Wiles has been named President-elect Donald Trump’s new White House chief of staff. She goes from being a mostly behind-the-scenes campaign co-chair to being the president’s closest assistant and counsel.

She has been involved with politics for a long time. The person who is going to be the first woman to be White House chief of staff is named Wiles. Who is she?

She worked in the office of New York Rep. Jack Kemp in Washington, D.C., in the 1970s. Wiles is the daughter of NFL player and sportscaster Pat Summerall. After that, he worked as a planner for Ronald Reagan on his campaign and in the White House during his presidency.

After that, Wiles went to Florida to work for Rep. Tillie Fowler and give advice to two mayors of Jacksonville. Finally, Wiles ran statewide campaigns in Florida’s rough and tumble politics. He is known for helping businessman Rick Scott win the governor’s office.

After running Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman’s presidential campaign for a short time in 2012, she ran Trump’s campaign in Florida in 2016, when his win there helped him win the White House.

After two years, Wiles worked to get Ron DeSantis elected as governor of Florida. But there was a rift between them that led DeSantis to tell Trump’s 2020 campaign to cut ties with the adviser when she was still running the president’s state campaign.

In the end, Wiles led Trump’s primary campaign against DeSantis and beat the governor of Florida badly. During the campaign, Trump campaign staff and outside allies made fun of DeSantis’s laugh, the way he ate, and wore lifts in his boots. They also used insider information that many people thought came from Wiles and other Trump campaign staff members who had worked for DeSantis and had bad experiences.

It had only been three posts on X this year when Wiles made her statement. Wiles showed up on social media for the first time in a long time right before DeSantis dropped out of the presidential race in January. A message said that DeSantis had taken down all the event information from his campaign website. Her answer was a short, clear “Bye, bye.”

Wiles joined Trump’s third campaign when it was just getting started. He is one of the few top officials to have lived through an entire Trump campaign and was part of the team that made it much more professional for his third White House bid, even though Trump regularly broke the rules anyway.

She stayed out of the spotlight as much as possible, and she wouldn’t even speak when Trump celebrated his win early Wednesday morning.

But she showed that she wasn’t afraid to do things that were normally only done by amateurs. In July of last year, Trump made an appearance in Iowa. While the former president stood for pictures with a long line of voters, Wiles got a clipboard and started going up to people in line to get them to sign cards promising to vote for Trump in the first primary election.

“If someone leaves trash on the table after a meeting, Susie is the one who will pick it up and put it in the trash can,” said Chris LaCivita, who, along with Wiles, was campaign co-chair.

In the last few days of the campaign, she made one of her three posts on X to respond to Mark Cuban’s comment that Trump didn’t have any “strong, intelligent women” in his circle. After Wiles was named White House chief of staff, Trump supporter Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida joked on X that Trump had picked a “strong, intelligent woman” to be his chief of staff.

Wiles helped Trump manage his worst urges not by scolding or lecturing him, but by earning his respect and showing him that he would be better off if he did what she said instead of going against it. Late in the campaign, Trump gave a speech in Pennsylvania that was heavily attacked because he deviated from his script and said he wouldn’t mind if the media were shot. Wiles went outside and stared at him in silence.

On the campaign trail, Trump often talked about Wiles and loudly praised her for running what he said was his “best-run campaign.”

“She is amazing.” He said it at a meeting in Milwaukee earlier this month.

During his first term in office, Trump had a record-breaking amount of staff turnover. He had four chiefs of staff, including one who was only in charge temporarily for a year.

A chief of staff is the president’s trusted advisor and helps carry out plans while balancing different political and policy goals. In addition, they often act as gatekeepers, deciding with whom the president spends time and talks. This is something that Trump didn’t like about his job in the White House.

Trump has said many times that he thinks choosing the wrong people was the biggest mistake he made in his first term. He says he didn’t know any better because he was new to Washington at the time.

Trump says he now knows which job applicants are the “best” and which ones to avoid.
