The judgment was enthusiastically welcomed by Cole, who emphasized that any arrested defaulter will be subject to the full force of the law and that the Agency remained unfazed by the attacks directed at agents while they were on duty.

The head of KAI also read the riot act to street vendors and hawkers, ordering them to stop selling their goods on medians, lay-bys, road verges, kerbs, and gutter slabs. He also advised pedestrians to use pedestrian bridges when crossing highways, warning that those who do not will be arrested every day and prosecuted for putting their lives in danger.
