UPDATE: Police Confirms Over 20 Persons Were Kidnapped In Kaduna Attack

The Kaduna State Police Command has recently confirmed the kidnap of over 20 persons by bandits in Unguwan Gimbiya in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of the state. 

Recall that ADblog reported the news yesterday that unknown gunmen reportedly attacked Unguwan Gimbiya community on the outskirts of Kaduna, in Kaduna State, killing two and abducting at least 50 persons.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Mohammed Jalige stated that the attack took place in the early hours of Friday December 3. 

He further stated that the bandits stormed the community at about 1 a.m., killing two people and taking away 20 residents before the arrival of security operatives.

He said:

“A combined team of security operatives have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers with a view to rescuing the kidnapped victims and arresting the criminals.”
