The highly awaited single “Piece of My Heart,” which features American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz, was released by award-winning musician Wizkid.
The lead single from Wizkid’s new album “Morayo,” which is scheduled for release on November 22, is the soul-stirring song that was published on Friday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Before releasing the tune for interested fans, the Grammy-winning artist had previously announced its release on his Instagram page.
The captivating collaboration “Piece of My Heart” exemplifies the flawless fusion of Brent Faiyaz’s R&B flair with Wizkid’s Afrobeats style.
P2J and Dpat produced the song, which has passionate lyrics that express unwavering love, passion, and dedication.
The poignant chorus, “Nothing can tear us apart, you’ve got a piece of my heart,” is delivered by Faiyaz, and the emotional message is further enhanced by Wizkid’s captivating singing style.
Wizkid has only appeared in a few duets this year and hasn’t released a song in a while.
These include “Work Me Out” with Shenseea from her second album, “Never Gets Late Here,” and “MMS” with Asake from his third album, “Lungu Boy.”
However, because it sets the tone for what is to follow from the album “Morayo,” the collaboration “Piece of My Heart” is already creating excitement among music aficionados, particularly among Wizkid fans.
