The events commenced in the late hours of October 1, 2024, when Wizkid engaged with the microblogging platform X, posting a cryptic tweet that read, “Beg me!” similarly …” Following his post, it was not long before his admirers and other users on X began to interpret that the message alluded to a viral video featuring Davido.
His initial post elicited a spectrum of responses from his admirers, as well as from those who support Davido, resulting in fervent debates within the comment section. Nevertheless, the vocalist continued beyond that point.
A fan of Wizkid expressed their anticipation on Twitter, stating, “Wiz, at this juncture, you may release the album whenever you wish.” “They require our presence,” to which the artist replied, “Bingos pale in comparison to starboy General!!” until the end of time.
Unyielding, he remarked in a subsequent post, “Frogido!,” subtly criticizing Davido once more.

On July 28, following his performance in New York and in anticipation of his concert in London, Wizkid shared a post on Twitter (now known as X). In the tweet, Wizkid remarked on “proper shows, proper venues,” which was interpreted as a slight directed towards Davido, who has also recently conducted his concert.
Subsequently, Davido made a pointed remark directed at Wizkid on Snapchat. In the post, Davido articulated that the “Pon Pon” sound represented the pinnacle of auditory appeal, while all other sounds were deemed “lesser,” which appeared to be a subtle jab at Wizkid, who had playfully hinted at his forthcoming third album, ‘Sound From The Other Side.’
