7,000 pieces of male donkey genitals being sneaked to Hong Kong, China, have been seized by the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Cargo Command of the Nigeria Customs Services (NCS) Lagos.
Sambo Dangaladima, the Custom’s Area Controller, who displayed about 16 sacks of the donkey genitals said the consignment had a duty paid value of N216,212,813.
Dangaladima said it was the pervasive smell from the bags that drew the attention of the customs officials.
He said, “The importers falsely declared the items as cow genitals. After due examination, my export officers discovered they were donkey genitals. It is the first time we are seizing this type of item. We will not allow such illegal wildlife trade to thrive under our watch”.
