Timileyin Ajayi, a fitness fanatic and gospel musician, was detained in Orozo, Abuja, after it was stated that he had discovered his girlfriend’s severed head in a black nylon bag.
On Sunday, January 12, Ajayi, who is said to be from Kabba in Kogi State, was caught close to a church when locals saw flies following the bag he was carrying. Authorities found a fresh human head in the package after searching it.
During police interrogation, the suspect acknowledged in a video that has gone viral that he had dated the victim for a year before to the incident.
Although the exact reason for the conduct is yet unknown, the horrifying incident has provoked indignation and demands a full investigation.
On the subject, the police have not yet issued an official statement.
