DURBAN — According to the lawyers for Amazulu Queen Ntokozo Mayisela, it w
ould be unlawful for her husband, King MisuZulu, to wed someone else.
The king called off the wedding he had planned to have with Nomzamo Myeni, his third fiancé.
In order to force the Zulu monarch to call off the wedding even though it had been canceled, the queen went to the court.
Melusi Xulu, the queen’s attorney, stated that “even the respondent, his Majesty, does say that should he get married, which he is denying there will be a marriage or a wedding, this marriage will be void ab initio.”
