As a Senior Managing Director at BlackRock and a Founding Partner, Chairman, and CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), one of the leading platforms for infrastructure investing worldwide, Mr. Ogunlesi brings extensive leadership experience and knowledge in corporate finance, infrastructure investment, and international market strategy. The Board’s capacity to monitor the company’s advancement toward AGI is strengthened by this nomination, which further enhances its breadth across technical, AI safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, economic, nonprofit, and governance sectors.

Adebayo Ogunlesi is a well-known investor and businessman throughout the world. Before GIP was established in 2006, Mr. Ogunlesi worked for 23 years at Credit Suisse, where he held a number of high-level roles, including Chief Client Officer and Executive Vice Chairman of the Investment Banking Division. He served as the head of the global investment banking division from 2002 to 2004 and was a member of the management committee and executive board.
Mr. Ogunlesi previously practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Additionally, he worked as a law clerk for Associate Justice Thurgood Marshall of the United States Supreme Court. He taught classes on international investment projects while serving as a lecturer at the Yale School of Management, Harvard Law School, and Yale Law School.
Mr. Ogunlesi has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University. He is on the boards of Kosmos Energy Holdings, Terminal Investment Limited, BlackRock, and Topgolf Callaway Brands. Previously, he served as Goldman Sachs Group’s Lead Director. He is a member of the Harvard University Global Advisory Council as well as the Dean’s Advisory Boards of the Harvard Law and Business Schools.
