Ahmed Kuru, the former managing director of Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria, and four other defendants awaiting trial for alleged N76 billion and $31.5 million fraud at Arik Airline were granted N20 million bail by Justice Mojisola Dada of an Ikeja Special Offenses Court on Monday.
The previous Receiver Manager of Arik Airline Ltd., Kamilu Omokide, the airline’s CEO, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, Union Bank, and Super Bravo Ltd. are among the other defendants in the trial.
After hearing arguments from each defendant’s attorney, Justice Dada granted the defendants N20 million bail with one surety each.
