Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta has expressed sadness over the team missing in European football.
Arsenal finished eighth in the Premier League last season and could not participate in European football: Champions League and Europa League.
The north London outfit has had plenty of time on the training pitch this season given the light nature of their fixture schedule, Arteta has already made it quite clear that he is not happy with the situation.
Speaking after the first round of group stage games earlier in the season, the Spaniard summed up how many supporters would have been feeling.
“It hurts a lot in the last few days to put the TV on and see those teams there, and not see Arsenal there,” the Arsenal Manager, admitted during his
press conference ahead of the 1-0 win over Burnley in September. “It was painful.
“One hundred percent. I don’t want to be sitting here with Arsenal out of those competitions.”
