The Head of Corporate Affairs of Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), Mr. Tayo Adekunle, has sadly passed away after his battle with an illness.
His death was announced on Tuesday in Benin through a statement signed by the BEDC management, excluding the names of any of its officials reflected in it.
The hardworking and healthy spokesman, on August 19, moderated the company’s media parley at its corporate headquarters on Akpakpava Road, Benin, without showing any sign of illness.
The event was attended by reporters from BEDC’s franchise states of Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti, with the company Managing Director, Mrs. Funke Osibodu, addressing the journalists.
BEDC said in the statement: “With grief and heavy hearts, the management and staff of BEDC PLC wish to inform you of the demise of our beloved colleague, friend, team leader and an amazing compatriot, Adekunle Anthony Tayo, who passed away in the early hours of August 28, after a brief illness.”
