Boko Haram, ISWAP Clash In Borno, Killed Over 40 Fighters And Commanders

An infighting broke out between Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) on Wednesday in the northeast of Borno State, Nigeria.

The fight broke out Wednesday, August 23, in the northeast of Borno State. Sources told the reporter that the ISWAP terrorists, who came on several canoes, attacked the Bakoura Buduma-led faction of Boko Haram in the axis of Duguri in Kukawa Local Government Area. The “bloody encounter left 41 fighters dead on both sides including commanders of the group”.

This publication learned the bloody encounter lasted for several hours and left 41 fighters dead on both sides, including several commanders. ISWAP was said to have dealt a heavy blow on Boko Haram, killing many of their commanders.

Some of the Boko Haram commanders who were killed include Modu Kayi, Abbah Musa, Isa Muhammed, Ibrahim Ali, Kanai Zakariya, Bula Salam, Isuhu Alhaji Umaru, Dogo Salman, and Abdulrahman Malam Musa.
