All entrances to the Federal High Court in Abuja, its surroundings and adjoining streets have been taken over by security operatives drawn from the State Security Service (SSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) ahead of the planned resumption of the trial of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu today.
At about 8:05 am, another heavy convoy of armed operatives arrived and drove straight with speculation that they could be conveying the defendant (Kanu).
By 9am the security agents have not allowed journalists and lawyers access into the court premises for a trial that ought to commence.
