Alhaji Zaharadden Abubakar, Chairman of Gwaram Local Government Area in Jigawa State, has issued a 30-day ultimatum to sex workers to vacate the area or to get married.
He disclosed this as he received a delegation from Sara community, a popular weekly market to his office, stating how he frowns at the rate of immorality in the Local Government .
He therefore urged the sex workers operating in the area to present names of their suitors to the local government authority before the expiration of the dateline.
Alhaji Abubakar went further to direct the closure of all clubs and beer parlours in the Local Government stating that the Police and other security agencies have been deployed to arrest defaulters.
