The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi has said that the number of new cases in the cholera outbreak in Lagos state is reducing.
On Monday, at a press conference, Abayomi said a total of 29 deaths have been reported as of June 23rd even as he assured that there have been no cases reported in schools since resumption.
Abayomi also said public health measures are being focused on crowded areas to further prevent the spread of the disease.
Towards unraveling the primary cause of the outbreak, he said the state is collecting samples, while investigations continues.
