Columbus Irosanga, a veteran Nollywood actor best known for playing a native doctor, passed away.
Hilda Dokubo, a fellow movie star, revealed his passing on Instagram on Thursday.
“There can’t be a shortage of angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na!” Dokubo commented upon sharing the news. Uniport Rivers State Nollywood is heavily featured in this one.
“Our uncle Coli #colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the lord,” she wrote as the description for her photo. “Eh dein na mu ikoli.”
Irosanga was a seasoned actor and TV personality who was born in Okrika, Rivers State.
In addition to performing, he was a senior instructor at the University of Port Harcourt’s Department of Theatre Arts.
His most well-known film roles are in 7 Kilometre (2015) and Issakaba (2003).
He won multiple accolades over his career, such as Best Actor in a Leading Role (Best of Nollywood Awards), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (AMAA), Best Actor in a Drama (City People Entertainment Awards), and Most Promising Actor in Nigeria (AMVCA).
