Three individuals have been apprehended in Ekiti State allegedly linked to the kidnapping of a man and his fiancée just before their wedding.
The couple was reportedly kidnapped on Ilasa-Ayebode Road in Ekiti East council on Sunday.
They were returning from Ado Ekiti, the state capital, where they had gone to shop in preparation for their wedding.
Their suspected kidnappers have contacted their families demanding N5 million.
“The victims were preparing for their wedding. They came to Ado Ekiti to purchase some items and were returning to their base when they were abducted on the road by gunmen.
Police spokesman Sunday Abutu confirmed the arrest of the three suspects.
