Latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 251,694 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 20, the NCDC reports 123 new cases with 6 COVID-related death.
The new cases were reported in 12 states – Edo (38), Osun (25), Rivers (22), Kaduna (12), Oyo (10), Kwara (6), Ogun (3), Bauchi (2), Kano (2), Borno (1), Delta (1) and Ekiti (1).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Abia, Nasarawa, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 225,455 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,123.
