Dangote Petrol Would Be Sold By NNPC For N950 In Lagos, N992 In Abuja, And N1,019 In Borno

After the Dangote Refinery’s gasoline was loaded, NNPC Limited announced new pump prices nationwide that come with extra costs for customers.

According to a corporation statement, gas in Lagos would now retail for N950 per liter instead of N855, in Abuja it will cost N992.22 per liter instead of N897, and in Borno it will cost N1,019.22.

NNPC demanded that Dangote load the product at N898 a litre, and it challenged anyone who had a different figure to come forward.

The NNPC Ltd also wants to clarify that PMS prices are negotiated directly and on an arms-length basis between partners, in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

“The NNPC Ltd can confirm that, as Naira transactions won’t start until October 1st, 2024, it is paying Dangote Refinery in USD for September 2024 PMS offtake.

“The NNPC Ltd guarantees that in the event that the quoted pricing is contested, it will be appreciative of any reduction from the Dangote Refinery and will fully distribute any savings to the public.”

“The estimated pump prices of PMS (obtained from the Dangote Refinery) across NNPC Retail Stations nationwide, based on September 2024 pricing, are attached to this statement.”
