Diligent Crossdresser Bobrisky has been publicly urged by Nigerian singer Portable to reevaluate her lifestyle and “repent from sinful ways.”
Portable made these comments after Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, had a string of personal and legal issues.
After serving a portion of a six-month term imposed on April 12 for her involvement in the misuse of the naira, the currency of Nigeria, Bobrisky was freed from prison on August 5.
Bobrisky’s present predicament started when social media influencer Martin Otse, also known as “VeryDarkMan,” posted an alleged audio tape online. In it, Bobrisky allegedly stated that she had paid EFCC officials ₦15 million to drop charges against her.
Since then, Bobrisky—a well-known social media figure who identifies as transgender—has refuted these claims.
She claimed that the audio tape was “fake,” that she had not accepted a bribe, and that “I served my term in prison.”
The EFCC, however, called Bobrisky and Otse in for interrogation due to the bribery charges. The situation has been heightened by the call for a probe into the claims made by EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede.
Rapper Falz made matters worse by confirming some of Otse’s allegations in a letter of caution he wrote to the activist.
In the correspondence, Falz disclosed that Bobrisky had purportedly contacted him, requesting ₦3 million to be paid to specific officials in return for a VIP zone within the prison; he turned down the offer.
Bobrisky has disclosed that she is having suicidal thoughts as she fights against both legal scrutiny and public opinion.
Although Bobrisky has rejected pleading for sympathy, she has appealed for help and understanding as she gets through this trying time.
In response to these events, Portable advised crossdresser Bobrisky via Instagram to change her ways and stop thinking about killing herself.
In his letter, Portable urged the self-described transgender star to turn to God for pardon and choose a road of atonement.
“Life is dangerous, Bogrisky. God opposes the death of sinners. Tell him to turn from his sin. Hell to the sinner who does not turn from their ways. You are going to hell if you pass away. Ask God to pardon you. He declared, “God does not want a sinner to die.
Assist me in telling Bobrisky to beg God’s pardon. Bobrisky only needs to petition God to pardon his sins. Bobrisky will enjoy the world if he repents of what he is currently facing. However, if he doesn’t turn around.
