EFCC: Bobrisky Claims The Voice Recording Was Created By AI And Files a N1 Billion Lawsuit Against VeryDarkMan.

Idris Okuneye, better known online as Bobrisky, is a Nigerian social media celebrity and cross-dresser. He has sued VeryDarkMan, an online activist and influencer, requesting N1 billion in damages.

The dispute arose after VDM shared a voice tape in which he claimed to be Bobrisky claiming to have paid N15 million to EFCC authorities in order to have the money laundering accusation against him dropped.

However, Bobrisky has refuted the allegations, claiming that artificial intelligence (AI) was used to create the voice recordings that allegedly accuse him of any crime.

Bobrisky sued VDM for N1 billion in damages and gave him 24 hours to release an apology in writing and on camera, sharing a letter from her lawyers on social media.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are the targets of bribery claims, and the House of Representatives has opened an investigation into both.

According to VeryDarkMan’s claims, the EFCC withdrew its money laundering case against Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, when he received N15 million.

During Thursday’s plenary, Representative Patrick Umoh of the Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency in Akwa Ibom State sponsored the motion and expressed worry over the damaging charges.

He underlined the need for quick action and the unfavorable perception of Nigeria as a corrupt country.

Speaking to his peers, Umoh voiced his worries about the widely shared article by VeryDarkMan criticizing the NCS and the EFCC.

He stated, “According to the magazine, the EFCC withdrew money laundering allegations against Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, after receiving N15,000,000.

According to the publication, Idris Okuneye was not housed within the Nigeria Correctional Service after being found guilty by the court of abusing and defacing Naira. Instead, he was lodged outside the service’s boundaries.

“We are concerned about the incriminating claims made against Nigerian law enforcement agencies, the EFCC and the NCS, which were founded by these sacred chambers to combat crime and house criminal defendants for correctional purposes, respectively.”

He went on to say that it would be inappropriate to ignore the publication’s unfavorable picture of Nigeria as a corrupt country.

The Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions received the referral from Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, who chaired the plenary session.
