Everton Beats Chelsea 5-0; WSL Champions Beat Everton To Keep Their Perfect Record

At Goodison Park, Chelsea beat Everton 5-0, keeping their perfect start under Sonia Bompastor. In the 14th minute, Aggie Beever-Jones scored after forcing an early save. There were chances for Chelsea, with Kadeisha Buchanan, Erin Cuthbert, and Guro Reiten all coming close.

Two minutes before halftime, Cuthbert scored Chelsea’s second goal by moving the ball into the bottom corner after stealing the ball. It took extra time for Reiten to score at the back post, giving Chelsea a three-goal lead.

Chelsea kept pushing and scored two more goals in the end. With eight minutes left, substitute Wieke Kaptein scored the fourth goal, and a minute later, Ashley Lawrence scored with a tap-in.

Chelsea went ahead of Brighton to take second place in the WSL. They are now one point behind leaders Manchester City, but they have a game in hand. Everton is still at the bottom of the table with only two points after six games. Chelsea has won 10 straight games against Everton.

Bompastor said nice things about Beever-Jones, like how good she was and how she could score and keep the ball. This season, Beever-Jones has scored in all three games.

Everton had a hard time against Chelsea’s defense, which made it easy for the WSL’s top scorers to score. With Cuthbert’s pressure, she reached her goal.

The game’s best player was Guro Reiten, who got an 8.97 out of 10.
