On Monday, at about 4pm a building belonging to Pure Seed Montesorri was gutted by fire in the Ifako- Gbagada area of Lagos State.
According to reports, the fire started from a section of the building and spread to the other adjourning parts of the school.
Confirming the incident, Jamiu Dosunmu, The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Fire Service, stated that one person sustained an injury.
“The Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Margaret Adeseye, while addressing newsmen at the scene of the incident, said the fire had been successfully put out.
“On arrival, it was discovered that a twin duplex, a section is residential and the other is opening soon as Pure Seed Montessori, Nursery & Primary School, was on fire. Lagos firemen in their effort confined the fire to the upper floor of the building where it started while salvaging the building and adjoining property.
“One male adult sympathiser sustained a minor injury and was treated at a nearby hospital and discharged. There was no loss of life.
“Meanwhile, the fire was successfully extinguished, as the cause leading to it will be unravelled, with the immediate commencement of investigation.”
